'00,'01 seat compatible w/'02
Just wondering if the '02 seat with the extra padding will fit the 2000/2001 models.

I put my '02 seat on my '00 just to see if there was a difference in the pan, it fits. My Corbin from my '00 is now on my '02 without a problem too.

Thanks DID,Is the 02 seat more comfortable than the old seat,I have a Corbin and have mixed feelings about it.I like how low the stock seat sits but just doesnt fit my ass right. The new seat is supposed to have more padding but doesnt have that Corbin hump in the front that I cant stay up on under power.

Are the 02 seats really that much better then the 00/01 ones?

I believe they are. Of course, the comparison was done while sitting on an '02. Other factors like the location of pegs and bars might have something to do with it. Still, it appears that the angle the '02 turns down from the top to the sides, seems sharper and less rounded then the '00-'01.

It doesn't take much to be an improvement over the stock 00 and 01. I hate how the stock seat pushes you forward.

The 02 seats have more of an angle on them, kinda like the GSXRs. Slender through the legs and about 1 1/2" more foam on the seat. Unfortunately you still get pushed foward on it.
You can have the front stuffed and then have the seat recontoured at any upholstery shop for ~$100 or so.

Or you could do what I did and get a Corbin without that front Hump. They'll make it however you want it, ask.
I can sit anywhere on it I please, I usually end up closer to the front because it's less lean angle and therefore less arm strain.
