Wheelie's
2 Part Question........I have an 02' ZX12 with a full Muzzy, K/N, PC3. Downloaded the map off Power Commander. Still have a flat spot in my low end mainly when I take off and I'm having a bear of a time doing wheelie's. I have to really get into it in order to get the front end up. My ZX6 and ZX9 I could get up to my balance point no problem, but this bigger heavier bike is new to me. Don't know if I need to drop some teeth in the front or change the mapping but I would like to be able to get it upright more easily and need to get rid of this flat spot.

Thanks for the advice. I do roll-ons in first @ 7,000 RPM and clutch it up in 2nd but its still being a pain. I have the sprocket to drop the front down to 17 tooth but have'nt put it on yet.
My 01' ZX12 would just come up without trying. Not sure why this one I'm having to muscle so much.
(ZREXPILOT) How do I go about advancing the timing???

(Johnnyboy) As far as my map goes I'm just using the "m206-005" map, which is the only one they have on there site. If you know of any mods I need to make off of that I would be willing to give it a shot and see if it helps.

that bike should do back flips on demand STOCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
,,, going down 1 tooth is gonna give you way too much low end (my Opinion) been there done that got the T shirt,, myself i went with 17/45 and it is perfect,, NOW if you know how to do multiple gear wheelies you wouldnt be asking this question,, so my answer to your question is to start riding around everywhere shifting clutchless until it is second nature,, and one day (mark my words) you will be in the air in 1st and slam 2nd and be on your way,, if ya want a video i can email it to ya! hope that helped

Talks about wheelies! a friend just came over today with his stand and we decided to go to the second loop in my lowering links! The wife is always laughing at the fact my feet barely touch the ground on the twelve.
Now that it's been lowered 1 1/2 this thing will stand up with almost no effort now! I just got this bike 2 or 3 weeks ago and I'm a fairly new rider (maybe 3 summers of and on riding) So all of my wheelies are done by mistake at this point LOL! For me I don't know when my next wheelie is. I know that all I have to do is get aggressive with the throttle and it will pull up no matter what gear I'm in!

Im 165lbs and on my bike, 1st and 2nd i have to work to keep the wheel down. One thing i notice when actually trying to wheelie tho is i often am not giving it as much throttle as i think i am. (cuz im escared) Odds are if your bike wont come right up, do a little more of a chop initially and let off as you reach the balance point. And ps mine came up this morning with a nice chop from 3600. and im all stock btw.

I'm able to hit my balance point clutching 2nd and shift through 4th. I have to realy get on it compared to my lighter bikes. I've tried just about everything to roll on in 2nd though. Bumping it i've tried, tried bouncing it, but still unsuccesfull. I'm leaving my stock rear sprocket and just dropping one in the front. Hopefully that will be enough. Although besides the wheelie's im still haveing a flat spot issue in my low RPM range when I take off.
My friend smoked me at the start with CBR 600. I'm not sure if there's any changes to the mapping I should be making as I am new to fuel injected bikes. Up till this one they have all been carburated.
