if you can, do back to back runs with it on then plugged (hose clamps on the lines maybe?) if you can get the same conditions, and allow the bike to cool down properly between rounds

Correct me if I am wrong but is the Kleen system simply an emissions air pump system to aid it increasing exhaust temps and help the Cat out alittle bit ?

I use the "Kleen" to help vent crankcase pressure.
Good for 2 h.p. across the entire power range!

had the same thing last yr psycho, this yr going with the crankcase venting to the header like you see on drag cars. it does the same thing as far as vaccum, and lets the exhaust move thru the ports much better for more power

i was running it with the hose out ofthe frame hole and i tell you it pulls more air than i thought for just exhaust going out the pipes. i am going to run the bike with it hooked up so everything is the same as it was when it ran 146+ on a upper 90s day and 150 on a upper 60s day. then i will do the crankcase mod next. i just hope the weard issue does not come back that i had yesterday.

I found that the Exhaust Reed valves suck so hard on excell, that the tube collapsed on the Dyno!
Replaced hose with a Braided Vinyl Tube.

are u guys doing the crank case mod with out the vacume valve or keeping it in and hooked up normal but hooking to the crank case vent?
i put a vacume pump on the kleen valve and it seems to open around 2.8 cmhg (12ish inhg) and my logger shows at the end of the track it mostlikly will be around that cmhg.
i think with out it on it overscavenges the air out of the cylinder. and with it it pulls air from the kleen hose and not as much from the combustion chamber on overlap.
i am going to try to get to the track the 4th of july. to me this makes sence and is the onlything i changed so we will see. i never dynoed the bike with it on and then off but the track dyno to me says i am down on mph at the top end.i hope this is it.

i took out all the stuff except the 2 hoses coming out of the valve cover, put a "T" fitting there and ran a long hose from the T to the crank case. plugged the hole in the air box with JB weld

this is the run i was talking about on the phone. bad 60's can trick the lights (i stalled it when i was first learing how to slip the clutch)

this was my best et pass and second gear was popping in and out at the time...

another pass was 148.xx mph, allmost a 149 (9.56 et i think)
another pass i had a 1.58 60' but i messed up the 1-2 shift.... bike was capable of going low 9s in that setup, should go high 8s this yr with the new setup

If you run the vacuum mod just be aware that a few guys have experienced a flickering oil light at idle afterwards (on the 12).
Back in the day when I wrote up the docs to do the Kleen block off and CC vent mod the Suzuki factory guys down in Atlanta that GreenMamba were connected to said they were seeing about 2 peak hp increase with the CC mod on the factory gixxer 1ks.

yeah the friend with a 01 gsxr 1000 did the mod. i will do it after i run the bike with the kleen back on this friday night.if i run 146 on a low 1.7 60 it did it. if i run 144 it did nothing and i have to look else ware.
you need to ask the question why does it make the engine rpms jump up 200 to 300 rpm with thumb off the end of the hose and then drop the same amount with the end of the hose blocked? all we are doing is letting the pull of the exhaust to pull air in to it and we ar doing nothing to the intake tract or the fueling. very intresting.

i think i read about Karl putting a FBG pump on his for extra power and seeing the light flicker... i cant really remember, maybe he will post about it

well everyone it did not help the mph at all loss or gain.i did find out by playing with it that vacume actually disables it and no or lower vacume allows the exhaust to pull air.i thought it was the other way. i did it for science anyway. now for the crank case mod. i wonder how much smaller dia sprocket on front(16/44 vs 17/46) or the 3psi lower pressure i am running makes on mph.
my 1/8th was mid 116mph. last pass was 117ish with 1.73 60ft with 9.78@ 145mph.
i am pulling out lower rpm but going wfo while sliding it. i started doing it again. felt good.
