I got to see parts of my old bike today
They are now installed in this bike. Of course since they came from a red 12 it makes this one even faster (not as fast as blue ones though).

How fast is it?? Looks like it is 8" over at least. Nice color scheme too (hehe). Muzzy Sidewinder, arm, etc. and he still has the mirrors on?? Guess it must still be a streetbike then.
BTW, what parts are off your old bike??

Well since it's not my bike I can't answer all the questions. I have no idea how fast it is. Have you ever gotten a real answer to that question from someone that drag races ? It is a street ridden bike, he rode it with us to Lakeland to the stunt bike show that day, over 100 miles one way. It obviously it has been lowered (look at the forks) the rear was raised for the ride over. Parts from my bike are the headlight assembly, snorkle, gauges, front end parts I could salvage from my crash. That bike's front end was run over by a semi during the same time I crunched mine. Bike Week 2002 in Daytona was hard on ZX-12s.

Yup Mike, that's Tony's bike.
Funny thing is that he said he could only run 10's too. I'll race your bike if the track is over a 1/4 mile and has a few curves.

Kawachan,I have not found the top end speed yet with this set up. To many cops and not enough clear road where I travel for that. My best time in the 1/4 is 10:49 at 138, I have hit 140 once. The arm is 6" over with 6" of ajustment.
Beansbaxter, the bike has been lowered 2" in the rear and 1 3/4" in the front.
Your car is slow, so what do you think the back end should look like?

Hey Tony,
Brian (YCIS) has a different way of looking at things sometimes, don't take it personally, just fire back, it's all in fun. He has a silver one and that's what my comment was about.
It's good to know some of the old bike is still running somewhere, kind of like being an organ doner, but unlike the human program this way you get to see the results.
All the pictures are on the web site if you didn't see them yet. I can do some better ones without the clutter in the background sometime if you'd like.

Hey Tony,
Its just me...but I dont really care for the whole ass sticking way up in the air like that look. I also dont care for the tire way out the back either...but it would seem to me that the bike is certainly setup as a "drag only" bike and as such should be as low as possible in the rear
It just doesnt look right to me...call me crazy...or whatever...noone ever accused me of being sane
Just not my cup of tea I suppose....perhaps an extended tail section would be in your future?

YCIS is correct in the fact that you need to get that bike lower. I just figured that you had it at your ride around town height. and you know what to each his own!! If you like your bike the way it is then Screw Everyone else. also here is how low mine is.

Sounds like SledDog needs to lower (the rear) and gear that hoss. Most of the stock wheelbase 12's can get in the 9.50 to 9.80 range with a lil guy. Say, you wouldn't be a member of TFA would ya??
We can give you some pointers to make it faster!
What tire are you using in the rear??
Is the clutch stock or are you using a Muzzy kit and basket?
What sprockets does it have on it now?
Do you have a strap for the front?
PC or EMS?? Custom map??
Man, that thing needs to be running 9.50's at 150 or so!!

Kawachan,I'm 5'6" and weigh 185 +/- 5# either. Iwas using the stock tire for times I posted. Clutch is stock, running one tooth up in rear. Have pc and no custom map. My problem is I'm slow.
YCIS, don't worry about a thing nothing was taken the wrong way. The extended tail is in the plan just alittle short on cash and I want to see what Muzzys looks like.
