pipes are blues is it normal

my pipes ( stepped tube race hindle) are blue from the flanges to the end of the mid pipe
but the end of the muffler seems to have allot of carbon build up ? so blue meaning to lean and hot ? or is it just normal ?

bike seems to run good

I have had one and mine were not blue that far back! About 8 inches to 12 inches is a lot! Slightly Retarded will really Blue a Pipe Quickly.

The Gasoline nowadays seems to leave a lot of Soot but retarded will also make soot! Do you have a PC3"R"?? The timing function really screws up on these and I had to give up and use a PC3 with no "R" and use a timing advancer
