rode for the first time
since having my hip replaced. I was finally able to get my foot up on the peg.My hip felt real tight when I first took off and thought maybe I'll have to turn around. It loosened up after 30 sec. so I went to put some fresh gas in it.I won't be going to the track anytime soon as I still have to work into the tuck.I forgot how much torque the zx14r has.The bike stutters at 6500rpm's and then clears out but only in 1st gear. Haven't a clue.It just felt good to ride again.I can't go anywhere as I still need the cane to walk and I won't take you guy's suggestions on where to put it. Right now I'm running 17/52 and might put the 48 tooth back on for street riding. It has been a long time as the bike was down for the most part the last 2 yrs.Counting my blessings.

I used a Fold up Cane Bunged to the Rear seat. Remember I was on Crutches for 3 years regrowing my left leg and with the brace on my leg I took a ride! No one can understand how good it feels to ride a short distance after a long time off!

After I finished Chemo, and had gotten some of my strength back, I took a ride in the cool of the evening in the early Spring 2+ years ago. Came back w/a nail in my tire. Life doesn't stop for anyone, even when you're doing your best just to make it till tomorrow. I know what you're saying about how good it feels to ride after a long layoff especially after you had thought you'd never ride again.

HaHa,easy come easy go! I put 3 miles on and now I find the bike puking oil by the oil pump.It doesn't leak on the stands but left over night on the kickstand puked a quart or so.well lucky I'm able to get on the ground again. There is just an o-ring in between the water and oil pump right?Yeehaw, keep me busy for the weekend.
