Mad Mike Need A Photographer @ Indy!!
If anyone is interested, I am looking for some one to take a whole bunch of photo's at Indy this weekend, need someone who can shoot decent, and can be there on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or at least Sat/Sun. Here is what the Lucky Person will recieve, First a Crew Pass for the Weekend($50 retail package), 2nd these photo's will be used in the 2003 Interstate Batteries Calander so The Photographer will get their name in the photo credit's! and Im sure a few cold beverages will be in order, along with hanging out with me and my friends for the whole weekend(if you dont get to sick of us.. LOL...)and I should be able to spring for 1 dinner hopefully! and last I will buy the film. I wish I could afford to pay someone but I can't, so this is open to anyone who would like to do it! if someone is interested please call me.

Howdy Mike,
I do a bit of photography myself as a hobby. What kind of equipment do you use? I have a Nikon F100 but I only have a standard 50mm lens and a 28-105mm lens. I do have some good filters, flash, tripod, grip, etc just not a very long lens. I would be glad to use my camera or yours if you prefer. I can do one of the weekend days for sure and Wildman lives here in Indy too and is somewhat of an amature photog himself. Maybe he could do the other day??? If a long lens is required (80-200mm or even longer) one can be rented from a local very good pro photo shop called Roberts Distributers. They have a web site I think something like www.robertsdistributers.com???? If I can be of any help with this or just local info or??? let me know. My email is ted@thestutz.com

Mike,
I just spoke with Wildman (Owen) briefly and he is interested as well. I could do Saturday and he could do Sunday for you. He has a nice olympus OM4 with a better lens selection than I have and he is willing to use it, or yours or he could use my Nikon too if it works out better? We both live in Indy. I live just 10 minutes from the track and he lives less that 30 minutes away. We could trade off the crew pass on Saturday night to keep expenses down. Let me know?

Mike,
The webmaster of www.shootout3.com is riding up with me and he will be available to take pictures. He normally charges but I would be willing to be that I could get him to accept the offer you have. He takes digital pics in high resolution.He is very good and for those specials shots he actually takes mpeg's of your run and then clips the shots he wants out of the movie. He will be there taking pics of the shootout racers and myself. He will also be able to show you your pics and you 2 could decide which shots you need AT THE TRACK. He will have his laptop and ect. with him.
Give me a call tommorrow at the office and I can set this up.
We are going to be at Indy for test and tune as well and friday -sunday

We will be there with Chad and I am a part time photographer. I don't mind a bit and don't need any passes. I can shoot some for back-up if you would like me to, no charge. I have all the gear needed, just let me know.
You should be able to find us at the Kawasaki trailer, just look for Chad (Millholland is on his leathers).

I can't even shoot an in-focus picture!!!
With all those camera's around, y'all should take shots of me too!! I don't have sponsorship though, so all I can offer is some kind of kick-ass dinner.

Same here. Wildman and I are going to help Mike and it would be no problem to shoot some of you too. I will be there on Saturday and Wildman on Sunday. I would like copys of any that turn out good. Let me know how we can hook-up?

Hey BA, I heard that Ted missed you today. I'll be out there tomorrow, Look me up, I'll see what I can do. There may be issues with film ownership, if Mike buys the film, etc... Anyway, we'll give it a try if you make it out.

what happened to the pics!!!!?!?!
not all of us can attend these events, we have to live vicariously through photos.

I just found out last night that the film turned out good, I know that Interstate will be using 2 photo's for sure and maybe 3-4 smaller ones that they can throw in? but I will not have them back untill next week sometime? I will post some of the good one's when I get them back!

That's cool, glad we were able to help.
Of course, I'm anxious to see them myself...
Do you know off hand what sort of stuff they've decided on? Such as the setup portraits, burnouts, or launches? Just curious.
