Fast By Gast Battery
Has any body tried installing this battery, how much modifing is needed. It has over 500 CCA.It sounds like a good stroker motor battery.I sometimes have a hard time starting the 1361 when it gets hot.

Have not ried any new type of battery. We have retarded the timing 4 degrees at zero throttle and since then my stroker starts hot. It might turn over slow but it starts!!!

Entropy did one, and that battery is a strange one, it does not have 500 CCA it has 500 HCA, Hot Cranking Amps. which is a 5 second burst of power above a standard battery after that initial burst it will supply the standard load as a regular battery. I believe that Entropy enjoy's his but I have never had any problem's with my Interstate Battery, and it is in it's Second season!

The FBG battery certainly does the trick for hot starting a built motor, BUT on the other hand, the Interstate battery prolly comes with a cool calendar, a few of which (the collector editions) are autographed by MadMike his own self!
Installation...
It is substantially bigger than the stocker but does fit into the battery hole after modifying the tray and re-routing some wires, cables. Definitely not "plug n' play"

I too have installed the FBG. The tray requires the remove and replace the bracket that hold the wires and plugs. But after that it fits fine...i think it is a good mod if you need the starting help.
