Dataloggers
What are some good, inexpensive dataloggers? I was interested in the Innovative brand. I would like to use it for my bikes and truck.

I have used the WegoII and now the Innovate stuff. WegoII has been superceded by the III and IV, i don't know what extra capabilities they have. They will be cheaper and easier to setup than Innovate but they can only log a limited amount of inputs and record short periods of time. With Innovate you can build it up bit by bit , logging upto 32 channels, and record hours of data. If you look at the Innovate site forum you can see that some people do have problems with the equipment. Depends on your needs.

I'm not sure. I'm new to this tuning bit. I have read a few books and articles and I like the idea of real world tuning. What do you suggest is needed for the street and race?

i just got the wego3. i has a scalable 3rd channel input. so u get afr rpm and whatever 0 to 5 vdc input like say tps or manifold pressure (or vacume). for real world tuneing it depends if your carb or injection. egt is nice to look at but afr should get you to the same place. though our bikes ecus have a map for each cylinder so u could get very anel about it.
