The A Pump is designed for return Fuel and the B Pump does not have this return!

Simple! It will Most likely Bolt Up but Where are you going to run the Return line on the left side of the FI that went to the Old Pump?

IF you have the pump , Block off the return and let us know.
IF you don't have a pump muzzy sells a walbro pump upgrade for the A model.
Y2k (Jim) has a couple walbro numbers if you don't want to go thru muzzy.
I think the muzzy kit is around $200 but the pump is around $120.

The Return SIde Controls the Fuel Pressure in the A-1 with a Small Valve in the Return tube! If you block off the return line the pressure Shoots straight up and the Mapping will not work. If you add a Return tube then you will still need the Valve to control pressure!

Working with my Bypass Flow through fuel pressure regulators on my LSR Bike taught me a LOT about controlling this Pressure and it is no SImple thing to do!
