low speed wobble...
when i am going 5-10 mph and i lean the bike just a tad either way, i get this wobble coming straight from the front tire. sorta feels like the grooves in the treads moving around a little but i just dont know. i inspected and everything seems legit. anyone else notice this low speed phenomena?

Could be your front brakes dragging a tad and the bike reacts when you are changing direction at low speed.
Of course if you are running knobbies????????

almost sounds like the symptom of low air pressure, but I assume you checked that.
I've never heard of it nor seen it before, but certainly I'd check that both the left fork tube and right fork tube are set up with the SAME settings.
Are you pretty sure that the rear tire is true, and not off a tad? You can't always trust the factory lines.

the one thing that i AM sure of is that i am not sure of anything. tire pressures were 38 in front and 39 in the back last time i checked. i dont even know how the hell to explain it. prior to this i did a handfull of high speed sweeping turns and the bike stuck like glue, not a hitch. afterwards i did the same. just at very low speeds, i feel the same sensation as when you ride on top of a groove that is parallel with the road and it takes your bike with it.

The new issue of Motor Cyclist made a comment about the shake at low speeds, due to the pattern on the front tread of the stock 208's. Also affected braking, I think I read.
Other than that, I would say its tire pressure.
If its still under warranty, have your dealer take a look to make sure everything is ok. Just a thought though.

I've got 5000 miles out of my stock tires, and am getting ready to replace them with some Bridgestones so I hope it makes a better difference.
I just read that new issue of Motor Cyclist the other day, they did a full blown review of a blue 02 12. Worth a read I presume.

Is it a wobble or more of a vibration? If it's more of a vibration, your tire is becoming worn on the edges. Mine did the same thing. My stock front tire started looking like a paddle tread tire at less than 2,000 miles of use.

its not even wobble, it is exactly the same feeling you get when there is a parallel line or crack in the road and it makes your bike steer along with it. i have fill tread on the tire, and it feels as if the tread grooves are acting the same as the lines in the road would. i think

i try not to ted, but you know how it is living in a residential neighborhood with mommies and little kids and all, i get my head chewed off every freakin day. speed does solve the problem however so you might be onto something there.

Yeah, I understand that, when in a residential neighborhood I flat take it easy and keep it quiet. I surely don't want to hurt anyone, their pets, or their quiet. Putt putt for me. Even around town I am not agressive at all. Although I have this thing for on ramps and I can't seem to control myself from wheelieing, and leaving work right in front of the Charter Communications building, the front wheel just won't stay down. I hope it pisses them off.
