Alpine Star boots, need opinions....
Anybody have the Supertech, S-MX+, S-MX, or GPS boots? Comments or feed back on how they fit and how comfortable they are while rideing. Or are there any better boots to consider?

Just my opinion, but I'd take a good hard look at the Sidi Vertebra II's. I just went through the same process are you are currently, and after doing much research in various forums, I ended up buying a pair of Vertebra II's from NewEnough.com. They are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned, and have completely replaceable armor pieces. They also have adjustable calf sizing. Read Paul's review and suggestion on sizing before ordering. 
I got a pair of the Coolmax socks, and last weekend when I rode in 100 degree weather my feet were nice and dry the entire time, so I probably wouldn't spring for the perforated ones.
I believe Nano (22348CVC) has a pair of perforated and non-perforated Vertebra II's as well. Since he's seems to know about crashing (sorry Nano ), he seems like a good supporter of them as well.
BTW, the best part is the price...I paid $239 shipped for a pair of boots that is far superior to all the other brands I was considering even at higher prices.

newenough.com. They are really nice people to deal with, and I have nothing but praise for their customer service. You actually get real emails from real people, and can call and talk to real humans! I would recommend them 110%.

Try on the boot you are thinking about! I am a Alpinestar guy. Have been for years. The new boots have started causing problems for me. They seem to abrade my ankles with ther ankle protection stuff. I have since gone to the SIDI Vetabarae race boot. The full deal exoskeleton ec. The foot fits really well, is comfortable etc. Except the friggin parts keep coming loose. The pair shown above are not quite as techno if you will and probably won't leave a trail of parts!!

Tim's right...I have personally crashed tested my SIDI VertII Air Carbons at about 25~35mph on a low-side and have filled them with water and ice in 100+ degree tempuratures...wearing coolmax socks help, but don't expect ALOT of cooling ventilation with the perforations alone...good boots and they are holding up well for the most part...there's a little wear on the leather near the back plates where it bends near the back of the ankle...I spoke with the SIDI reps about this at Laguna...I'm taking it down to Motonation in Poway and hoping for a favorable answer.
I also have a pair of non-perforated SIDI Vert II Tepors for cooler or wetter days...somehow it fits better than the Air Carbons, which is basically the same boot...feels more comfortable around my tootsies, too.
Last but not least, I have pair of SIDI Sympatex On Road boots...for heavy duty rain riding and very cold weather...and they look very manly.
Am I a SIDI fan? Well, yeah, right now I am...I ALWAYS have problems finding comfortable, appropriate, and utilitarian boots and shoes for my activities...I wear a size 13W boot...there aren't too many boot companies out there who can accomodate my Samoan fire-walking feet....SIDIs fit me well....so do OXSTARS.
I bought a pair of Alpinestars SMX-Plus boots, and though they fit well, they felt more like motocross boots...very stiff until they break in...whenever that will be...some people like them...I didn't...look, I'm a large man and I have the torque capacity to twist and break things with my physicality and feet...I couldn't bend the SMX-Plus enough to manipulate the controls 'confidently'...maybe its particular to size 13...I sent them back.
So there you have it...one man's opinion about a few boots

Those Sidi's look pretty good. Havn't dealt with New Enough before but as long as they let me return them if I have to for a different size I'll give em a try, thanks.

I have a friend who has a pair of Sidi's. He realy likes them. Only thing was he was in a crash about a year ago and somehow wound up breaking his heal and sending it up into his foot. Now has a steal plate and some screws holding it in place. We're not sure how he managed to do that with the boots on.
I looked at Sidi's but I guess I have a wierd shaped foot. They just were not comfortable to me. I cannot ware Reboocs (sp?) either. I ware Nike's.
When I went to Road America, I stopped by the Ducati Course Cafe. They had both the Sidi Vert and the Alpine Star S-MX and the MX plus. I found that the Alpine stars fit was much better for me.
I would have bought the S-MX Plus if I had the money, but being Race Weekend, I ran out
I'll get a pair on order in the next few weeks.

I just wish I could find a local dealer stocking all this stuff so you can actually see it and try it on before you buy.

I don't know of to many places like that. I have found it beneficial to develop a relationship with a local dealer. I buy pretty much all of my accessories and parts etc. from the same dealer. Ironically, the dealer is a Honda, Yamaha and Ducati dealer. Regardless they treat me well and when I want boots, a jacket, pants you name it, they order the item and when it comes in, I try it for fit and if it doesn't fit they ship it back. If there is a question about size they will even order two sizes with the idea one or the other will fit.
As a result I can order things without worry, I don't pay a restock charge and frankly as a good customer I get a good discount. For the most part with few exceptions they give me better pricing then I can find on the net. I might also add that they also allow me to order without paying first so I actually only pay for the product when I receive it. Three years ago the dealer ordered in 4 different brands of leathers for me in hopes of finding a set that would actually fit my shall we say "stout" body! One set worked out and the others they returned on their nickel.
I have had developed this same arrangement with a number of shops over the years. Customer / dealer loyalty go hand in hand.

I just bought a pair of Alpinestars SMX+, they fit well but I have to agree with the post above that they are very stiff. They do feel a little tight in spots but everyones dogs are different right? I think I will stick with them because from the dealer they were a pretty good price and he said they break in well.
