ZX6r.com really has their shit together.

thats a pretty sweet site, not that i'm knocking this site cause this site has given me more info in 2 months than i would have had by myself in 2 years.

I think this site should have a "how to" page in which anyone can post their mod work and step by step instructions (pics wouldnt hurt).
Also a aftermarket parts page, not advertising, but showing what different optons are available to zx-12r riders.
these two things would eliminate a great deal of the "how do i do this" posts. Myself being a major contributing factor to such posts.
what do ya think fish?

im not trying to sound like a jerk here, but maybe you could find out how the zx6r.com guys did it. there site is not all that dissimilar to this one, with the exception of the faq page and the how to do stuff pages. dont get me wrong, i'm perfectly happy with the status quo, just thought i could make a productive post once in a while.

How did they do it? Well.. looking at the site.. looks to be pretty new... the FAQ etc is a work in progress here, and it simply takes time... it takes a lot of time to maintain and operate the forums let alone an FAQ... freek and maddog both werk way to hard for absolutely nothing to keep this place running.... hard to ask them to maintain an faq at the same time... things get done when we have a chance around here... this place is a hobby (and sometimes a full time job) but everyone here has their own careers to take care of as well....

so there ya have it... we add options as we can...

It's not the task of popping up the windows with the info in it that's the big task, it's the getting the content and maintaining it.

I'm trying some similar stuff on my bike site, man what a pain.

Hmmm... who writes for ZX6R?
Who is it exactly that is giving me advise on how to corner, or do a Burn-Out?

I think ZX6R, has some ggod ideas, but I think I can learn more from the experienced guys here that ride ZX12-R's.

i have no doubt that this (zx12.org) is the best site out there. The knowledge base and experience of the members, compiled with the helpful nature is second to none. i was not aware that these topics had been thought of prior and i was impressed with zx6.com's layout. just thought i'd give everyone some food for thought. i aint knockin ya fish, job well done by you and freek. afterall, it isn;t me that is keeping this site up and running for nothing, its you guys.
i appreciate it as does everyone else

I sent an e-mail to the site's administrator(s) telling them what a good site I thought it was. Like I told them, I might not agree with all their views on issues such as dealers and online parts places, but that's just my view. I did like how it tries to help the motorcycle "newbie". Kinda nifty!

It has a lot potential and I wished them the best of luck.

I think this board would be way better if you guys would give us all a million dollars (US of course) an a new ZX12. I would ask for more but since you all do this for free, on your own time and work your asses off to keep the board fee I'll cut you some slack on my demands!!!

Oh, and by the way should I buy a ZX6 if I intend to get serious about drag racing?

Oh yeah, one other thing..... '"thanks for your work and the board.

Looks a bit like my turbo site http://www.750turbo.com which has "How to's", FAQ, Gallery, Owner's World Map, Board, Chat room, History, Press room and Resource pages for parts.
Wish I could make some money out of this shit!

600

the ZX6r, a GIRLS bike????hmm i must ponder this one oh wise ones of the forum........*long pause* Ok I have 2 motorcycles, an 02 ZX12R, and an 01 ZX6R, while I ride the 12 as an everyday driver(I have 9200 miles on it) and the 6R my other half rides as a daily driver, and it doubles as my track bike. Is it as fast as the 12, obviously not.. BUT, I have seen my 6r out run a ZX10 on the track in and 1/8th mile, it has also made a nicely tuned zx11 work for a win. I say to yuo all, NAY, the 6R is not a girls bike, but rather a bike suited more to the liking of a woman....and that is all I have to say about that..... oh, one last note, if yer riding a 12 and I pass you up at deals on the 6R, dont be upset, you arent the first, and wont be the last... later all Jim

I like 'em a lot. I'm casually shopping for a 6R for a track bike. I know me on a 6R could run circles around me on a 12R when it gets to the curves.

jason is right

hey Jason, you are correct, I know I am about 6 seconds faster around the track on my 600 than the 12. even though my terminalvelocity is almost 18 mph slower on the 600 down the straight....some times smaller is better.....lmao

Of course you go faster on the track with the 600. It is a shit wad easier to race. And in the right set of twisties the 600 runs away from the 12. But with all that said wicking the 600 through the gears is about as exciting as getting the paper out of the neighbors paper box!

I remember when I rode Necromancer ZX6R home from the dealer. 4000 rpm break and the sucker only goes about 52 mph at 4000 rpm. I felt like a target on the freeway! I must admit I did pull a wheelie or two on the way home!! Don't tell him though!

Unfortunately, tomorrow we are tearing into his 600. After a year and a half of racing that includes a blown off oil filter, it looks like the bottom end has gone boom!
