TRUSTWORTHY SHOPS
hello all i recently purchased a 2000 zx12r i absolutely love this bike...but i knew going in it had a few flaws i am a soldier in the u.s. army and recently was deployed to iraq prior to leaving i gave my baby one last spin around 695 when the bike started acting up 4 one the bike cut off on me heading off the exit i tried to restart the bike it starts up fine but when i go to put the bike into get it str8 stalls motor runs great i could let the clutch slip out at say 3500 rpm ((a bike no no in my bike)) and it still dies on me im clueless i can feel the bike go into gear but like i said once i start to slip the clutch out it absolutely dies on me so while im over here in iraq i was wondering do anybody know of any quality shops in the baltimore area??? i played the shade tree mechanic b.s. before only to get burned and screwed over anybody know of a good shop locally i would so appreciate it thanks

sounds kind of like the kickstand switch to me? maybe get a buddy to clean it and try it before spending a bunch of money

kickstand switch???? please go alil into detail somebody else said thisto me i completely blew them off though

if the kickstand is down(or the switch is stuck and thinks its down) it will shut the bike off when you try to pull out. its a saftey feature that prevents you from driving around with the kickstand down. try to lean into a left hand corner with it down and its not pretty....so kawi makes sure you cant.

dam that be funny if u was right....imma ask my step pop bout it he gonna take it to a shop its kinda out of my hands right now till than thanks alot though...by the wya i loove that color blue on ya 12

Sup Bmore. I've run around G-burnie and Essex a couple times on 695 against a turbo Busa so I'm vaguely familiar with the area. Our shop is a SOLID 1 hour away if you ride it like you stole it, otherwise, under 2 for sure. We're in Sterling, VA just a couple minutes from Dulles Airport. Besides my 12 we have a couple others in there now getting some stuff done to them, one of which is a fellow 200 mph head at the Maxton Mile in NC. If you can make it up drop me a line and we'll be glad to help you out!
