lowering forks

Has anyone lowered there forks internally? Is it easy to do. Did you have to cut the springs any?

While I do have internally lowered forks, I can't take the credit. I got them from Matt Sterbator on the board. I believe they are heavier than stock once modded...a plus I suppose when trying to keep the front end down in drag racing.
