My Brother Spoke
For all that didn't know, my brother was in ICU for the past 5 weeks.
Went in with Kidney ,liver, pancreus failure, blood and lung infection.
The doctors thought he would die in the first 2 days.
They removed 3 ribs to scrape out some lung infection Tuesday.
Yesterday, he started breathing on his own.
They just moved him into the respiratory wing today and he spoke his first words.
He said 'hi' and told my mother he loved her.

miracle
The miracle already happened.
He went from 10% to 95% chance of survival.
Must be that stubborn strong polish blood.
I just got off the phone with him...talked to him for about 30 seconds. enough time to tell him abuot the Laguna Seca trip. Then I let him go so he could rest. Gotta let him know about the important things, ya know.
He starts physical therapy tom. so he can start moving his arms and legs again.
Thanks for the warm thoughts and stuff.

Good stuff. I spoke to my brother yesterday and he asked me if I changed the oil in my bike yet because of the 1800 mile ride I did. The f'er can't even move his body yet because of the non use of his muscles for so long and he's bothering me about changing my oil. He's a mechanic by trade, so it's good to see his brain still functioning. He's always been like that though. Any car pulls down the driveway, he pops open the hood and makes sure everything looks right. Kinda like the time my carb wasn't working in my '69 dodge coronet 440, and I went to football camp for a week, came back and he had replaced my engine with one he had rebuilt for his '72 charger.

As he rebuilds his body he will have some serious time to think. Sounds like improvement is happening! Maybe he can fifure out the idle hunt on ZX12s! Glad to here he is improving.

Let me guess, another tech guy with a minimally maintained car, service engine light on, full of hamburger and candy wrappers, and a few save the whale bumper stickers!

fuck the whales, they take up so much space. but otherwise u'r pretty close. tho i dont eat hamburgers (meat) and i'm not a big fan of candy. my car is uaully full of napkins & spare parts, like the muffler sittin in the trunk right now. of course there's the prerequisite ash tray full of screws from parts of the interior i'v got apart at the moment. bah, i'm sellin it anyhow, who needs the shit of dealin w a car? not like i use it often anyway.
