Miss my baby!

this 79/80 CBX was my baby in Vegas till the X got her in the divorce,, the paint and striping where done by a buddy of mine in Orlando.. was thinking of another paint job similar for my 12,, what do you think?

if you look close,, that is the STRIP in the background of the bottom photo,, you can make out the pyramid above the seat,,(the Luxor)..

Actuallyin the top photo,, it was wearing a Bassani collector and i had a custom megaphone identical to the old D and D megaphone,, and it had a Supertrapp baffle.(6 into 1).
this thing sounded like a Prehistoric Bumble Bee/terradactyl unlike any of the other pipes ive had,, and i had 7 Xs,, the second photo was of a MX-3 pipe,, the company didnt last very long, but i did snag a set,, sound was great,, but performance was less the the top one,,it was a 6 into 1 into 2 pretty wild,, i have a video of me doing wheelies thru 4 gears on the X and i actually flip the bike on the last one,, (this was in NY at the time) and actually had my buddy there who was a NYPD cop and he wound up getting into a fight and all kinds of shit,, i later got towed home by a CB1100F always loved the CBX! gotta figure out how to take VHS footage and digitize it so i can post it for laughs the first few are picture perfect,,but i think the 630 LBS. was too much for the skinny tire back then!

I bought a VF1000R new in 1985. Loved it. Cam gear drive, v-four sound and power. Hand laid fiberglass bodywork..............a great bike. Let me know if you ever want to sell it Shane........................
