WOW!
I just spent a good hour and a half watching KISS on VH1 and reading old thread seeking out info on this Billet basket,, creeping forward and hard to find neutral issue,, sad to say but im glad im not the only one that has had to deal with this issue,, otherwise i wouldnt have as much info and knowlege as i do now,, it turns out that too much oil,, mixed with cold weather and heavy duty springs can cause the bike to creep,,and make it hard to find neutral,, 2 problems ive been faced with here after a install of a Falicon and stock plates with HD springs,, would it help if i went to 3 stock and 3 Brock Davidson springs,, the lever is real tight? and i was wondering if that would help at all in my quest to find neutral,, i think after a little ride today (in the cold 35 degree weather) the creeping is slowly going away,, but in gear trying to move the bike around by foot is still harder then if it was in neutral so there evidentally is still some drag.. what do you think,, is the next logical step to replace 3 of the stiff spring for stockers or ride it out and hope the warm weather next season cures all,, i am considering the Motul oil versus the 15/50 mobile also..
feel free to chime in,, my brain wants to soak up the info like my fibers did!

twista,
don't out science this issue.
springs make no difference in how a clutchpak drags a bit. when you pull the clutch lever in you have the same clearance no matter what springs are used.
Likewise oil really isn't an issue except when the motor is cold.
My clutches ALWAYS drag a bit when a brand new pak is installed. Let the plates seat, the dragging will disappear after a bit. Do one hard pass on 1/4 mile and creeping is gone.
