Starter Dragging/Electrical Issue?!?!?!?!?
Got a bit of a slight problem.....I thought for the longest time that something on my bike was draining my battery repeatedly so at Daytona Bike Week '07 I bought a new battery at the Cycle Gear store. Installed the battery and ran for maybe 4-5 months. Several times I had to charge it. I'm thinking this battery can't be bad already. I noticed that the pattern was.....i could start the bike right up cold and let it warm, if it chokes I'll crank it again(it'll start but you can hear it getting weak), If I have to attempt to start it a third time it click like its dead(and trust me, im not holding the ignition too long and killing it). So I then noticed if I let the bike sit a few moments(and cool I guess) it will start right up as if it never seemed week. A couple of times I've been out riding and I would pull over to answer the phone or get gas and it would click as if it was dead.....I would then wait 30 seconds and maybe a minute and she'll crank right on up. Anybody have any ideas of whats happening or what could be one wrong? Has this happened to anyone?
