Loss of power over 7500 rpm

My zx-12 that i ride to work every day seems to choke down over 7500 rpm.

My bike is stock with brock step tube, bmc filters and no power commander. I've changed the plugs, checked the valves, cleaned the filters, and changed the computer and it still runs the same. It just started doing this and it's consistent. Any ideas?

Thanks for the help

Mr Hill chased a gremlin similar sounding and it ended up being less than desireable flow through fuel injectors.....just a thought

Fuel filter "sock" on the in-tank fuel pump.

check the battery, if it's still good make sure the terminals are tight.

Mine did the same thing but it was around 8500rpm.It would just hit a wall and go no further.New Fuel pump is what fixed it.Dealer will rape you, look for a slightly used one on EBAY
You can save a bunch of money.I think the 2000-2001 are different from 2002 and up.I went ahead and bought a couple that i found so i would have a spare. How many miles does yours have?Mine went at around 38000 miles.

So it was the filter. What did You change it with - because You can't get it from KHI as a spare part? I've vanted to change it for Years but when I asked from Kawasaki they don't offer it only a complete kit with the fuel pump. As my bike has 105k km (65k miles) I'd think it would be a good idea to change the filter before it's too late...
