i used copper gasket adhesive. its still just leaking a little on the left- front of the valve cover. i think i seen where crotchrocket said he replaced like 3 times and it still leaked a little i guess cuz the synthetic oil and no drip hole on that side of the engine where it leans when its on the sidestand. i mean its not even bad enough to worry about. i just thought maybe someone besides crotchrocket had the same issue. thanks

Yea mine does it too, but its never been bad enough to dig into fixing it. I did order new gaskets that I will put in when I check the valves in a few thousand more miles.

There is NEVER any need to use any goo or RTV on a rubber cam cover gasket. If you have a leak you have something NOT RIGHT.

i'm with Doug.
I stopped putting goo anywhere on my valve cover gasket a year or more ago (10 teardowns ago) no leaks.
Start w/a nice new gasket, oil it up, tq the 7? lil bolts, reuse, and reuse.
why 10 builds in a year?
EXPERIMENTS!
