as far as bang for the buck goes, you could probly pick up a cheap used muzzy system. make sure you map it correctly with a PC
as far as all out power, i think the step hindle is the best, VH will probly mention it here any time

Do a search on exhaust systems. This subject has been debated to death, and yes everyone thinks what they have is best. My full Akro on my 1361 makes 212 rwhp, and close to 125 ft/lbs torque. When my engine was stock, I never lost a dyno run with my akro. I had a friend who's stock 12 was identical to mine down to the color. Stock to Stock, His bike made a couple more Hp then mine. The same shop put a Hindle on his and an akro on mine. After the upgrade, my 12 made a few more hp then his, so, that my story, and I'm sticking to it The Akros are so well desinged for our 12s that you don't need a Power Commander.

Best bang for the buck is to rip the cat from the stock exhaust.

How do you define best bang?
Cheapest pipe period.
Cheapest pipe to get to perform well ?
Best performance?
Different pipes have different charateristics(sp)
Muzzy has a raw hot rod sound and vibrations and will require a PC for good street manners.
Akrapovic is refined, a lot smoother and quite and does not require a PC.
No experience with hindle,
Those will be your most popular 3.

What do you like.

Look for a USED Step Hindle on e-bay! The problem with Any exhaust nowadays except the Muzzy Pipe is the Dollar has become Worthless and if not made here (Like we are now the 3rd world country) it will be expensive! When I bought the Hindle a Canadian Dollar was worth $0.65 and that was in 2002. I bought a Used Akra for $800 and sold it for $600 which is about I paid for the new Hindle

For NO Pc3, find a used Akra or a Non Step Hindle. You will need a PC3 with the Muzzy or Strep Hindle
