Fuel level guage
The fuel level guage suddenly stopped working after bringing the bike down from a wheelie. It wasn't a particulary hard landing but the guage stopped working anyway. I can fill the tank to the brim....and the guage only works when I get down to the reserve when the last bar starts flashing.
Is this the sensor? Float? Pin connector on the back of the speedo?

CAREFUL! This happened to mine a little while ago...stayed like that for a while...then at Maxton I was counting on it to start blinking it DIDN'T....and I find out I'm running out of fuel
WHILE ON THE NITROUS BUTTON IN 5TH GEAR!!!!
Not sure why its like that, but now even when its outta fuel it still shows 1 bar....you've been warned!

There was a recall on the first year on the fuel gauge, because it went bad from the fuel. I had mine also replaced but before the replacement I allready cured the thing with regular eraser. The contact area of the sensor had some kind of stuff on it and the eraser took it away. The replaced sensor has worked 100k km (60k miles) after that without any problems...

Hey, mine just developed that problem also! I am not Happy!!!!..............But it will have to wait until after the Texas Mile. I'll make sure I have enough fuel! Running low on fuel is not an option for my motor/nos setup!

The fuel level sensor and reserve switch are two different circuits.
The reserve switch is on the fuel pump.
At least in the early bikes....

The fuel gauge on my A1 also went bad, and was replaced under a warranty recall. I was riding up the Columbia Gorge, and the gauge was showing 1/2 full. Problem was, the odometer was showing 190+ miles. I decided to stop in Stevenson and fill up. I put in over 5 gallons, and congratulated myself for not waiting to fill up in Hood River.

Update, I let mine keep running down at a steady pace on the hwy....back to what it was (always 1 bar and blinking when it got to reserve). Rode it 10 miles before refueling since I think due to the muzzy fuel pump's position in the tank it runs out earlier???

I would, but they'll probably take too long and I have TX Mile and Maxton Mile coming up very soon. Dealer around here seems to keep people's bikes for quite some time.

What kind of setup do you have in that thing? Getting 190+ miles to a tank!
I didn't buy the 12R for the mileage but I would love to get more than 135 - 150 miles per tank....ON THE HIGHWAY! I do a hell of a lot of long rides.... 180 - 250 mile trips every summer. I travel 80 miles 1 way to get to the track....

Just use Maxton/Texas Mile gearing and you'll get a touch more out of your tank.
