tubo check list

For a turbo system, what is needed?
Say for instance a home built stage 1.
What do you do about air temp sensor? How does it operate when using a turbo?
If I use a t28 with internal wastegate, should I use it or should I weld it up and use an external?

1. Dig a hole 5' deep
2. Withdraw money from your bankaccount and place in hole. (Smaller denominations take up more room.)
3. Repeat until full

I did some searching and I am not finding what I want to know. I have looked at some kits for other bikes as well and finding some with extra fuel rails and injectors and some with just notations of needing a PC. What I want to know is:
1. Do I need an extra fuel rail and injector or can I just make adjustments to the PC?
2. If I need another fuel pump and regulator and what type?
3. Does the extra fuel pump piggyback the factory or replace it? If replacing the factory does it go in the tank or is it external and how to you disconnect the factory fuel pump?
4. What do you do about the air temp sensor, does it stay in place or is it mounted to the plenum?
5. And any other info would be greatly appreciated.

By the way, the bike is going to be street driven with stock internals and pump gas. It has a plenum mounted inside the frame.

Yeah maybe so, but back to the questions please. This will be a through the winter project so money is not the issue. I can save and buy the parts as needed.

"Money not an issue", thats the best state of mind to start with. Small turbo for the street, just need a fuel pump (Check Muzzy). Muzzy Fuel Pump is a stand alone: remove tank, turn upside down, remove fuel pump and replace with Muzzy kit. Might need a spacer plate and/or pistons if you don't like to keep the boost low.

Be happy with 220-250HP!

Might be Air Pressure sensor your thinking of.

Good Luck and keep us up to date on that little winter project.

Is that the Muzzy fuel pump that was an upgrade for 2000 model 12's and is equal to the newer factory versions. I have a 2004.

It flows enough for 700 HP! If you are going to make more than that, then you need more Pump!

I do not know for sure, but Doug Meyer may still have his bike for sale! It was the one that set the record at Bonneville for Mike Corbin with Saddle Bags. I think the price is about $12,000 and with a complete bike like you have you will have any missing parts!

Here's the link to the classified for the turbo package I have. Please PM me if you want photos.
This is absolutely the quickest most economical way to get an excellent turbo package.
$10,000, not 12. But I'll take 12.......

Maybe add to that what my Dad always said "Experience is ALWAYS SOmething you get immediately after you need it!" After this winter and Next Summer and next WInter, you will be experienced!

My next SUggestion is to call Mr. Turbo! He makes more Turbo Kits than most people and has EVERY Part possible that you will need!
