Help! technical/Math lowering question!!

Okay.... here's my question... Using Muzzy's lowering links to lower the 6R ... (just fer street riding/ short person)... I am trying to calculate how much I should drop the forks to make the bike lower evenly.

I have used a little trig to figure this out, ... but I want some real technical opinions.,.. first the #'s...

(I am doing this in metric)

we know that the links lower the bike 1.5 inches, which equals 38mm.

Here are my calculations... can someone tell me if am am doing the right thing? thanks

This is telling me that to keep the bike level I have to lower the forks by 44mm in the clamps...

755-711=44

my real concern is does the Muzzy link really drop the bike 1.5 inches using the center hole?... lowering the forks almost 1.75inches seems extreme to me...

It is a little extreme, that's why we suggest "for drag racing only" in the bottom hole. You also can visualize this:
The Prostar rule is that the fairing must have 2" of ground clearance. The race bikes are lowered to just that.
You usually (esp the 12) can't get the tubes that low and that's why the guys use the "strap" to pull the fork travel down (also to limit upward motion at the launch, of course).

The math logic looks good to me. I didn't check any of the numbers with a calculator though.
It would be easier to follow with more documentation.
You are solving to keep the same rake angle.... looks ok.

Question, where did the numbers come from? Do you know them to be accurate? That kinda stuff can be a little tricky to measure.
