Area P Muffler - Land Speed Record
John Noonan set a new all out land speed record on dirt at El Mirage on Sunday. He ran 235.924 mph on his '00 "Yellow Submarine" Busa using a custom built turbo and body. I believe that is the fastest pass on dirt by any two wheeled vehicle; period.
John also set a new record on a sidecar (no passenger) at 216.056 mph.
He contacted us Thursday to build him a carbon fiber muffler to set the record with. One that would not break, could withstand the heat, and of course be "reasonably" quiet.
He actually came out to our S&S sponsered Dyno Shoot-Out at the Queen Mary Event Park on Saturday for a test run on the tune-up he was going to use on Sunday. He made 416 hp and won the open Turbo class by a long way. John has made up to 545 hp at our shoot-outs in the past.

That's incredible on dirt. There are a couple of guys over this side of "the pond" up around the 250's and you can hear their rears spinning up in EVERY gear on a hard surface. Hats off to that man.

Awsome!!! Noonan just needs to come down to the Texas Mile in
October for a 250+ run. I think Karl almost had him convinced last
time.

I ran my 11 180 on dirt and I can't imagine how that thing must have been movin' around.

One of the nicest guys I've met. He came down to OZ to run at Lake Gardiner. He just went around and helped everyone. One of our customers was having a bit of trouble on his 12 and John helped out. Ronnie then went 204mph on his 12. First Kawa 200 on the lake.
