Another tire question?????
What does everyone think of the Metzler ME Z4 tires? Everyone I've talked to says there long lasting...usually averages 12000 miles, great in rain, great for turning, just all positives. Mainly, LONG LASTING though. Anyone tried them or want to chime in with their opinion????

If you're looking for tire life, you may want to look at the Dunlop D-220, it replaced the D-205. Comes in a 200/ZR.

Oh but I hate my Dunlops on their now, granted their stock. Just hit 1600miles on them yesterday and I'm putting them up for sale I'd like to add.
I dont pop wheelies, or do any crazy stuff. I just ride.

Re: MEZ4
Don't know how they would work on a ZX12. They came standard on my friends SV650. Seem to work good there.
But I found the Dunlop 207's slid too easily on my ZX12, but they don't slide on my wifes F4i. My point is that a heavy bike like the 12 may not like the MEZ4.
I'd stick with the proven tires on this board. Bridgestone BT010's and Michelin Pilots get the good reviews. -ZXtra

I ran the MEZ4's on my Blackbird, got 6,000 miles out of It maybe 12,000 in the front . No way out of a rear. What you may want to try is run a 190 rear and try the BTO-20. I also had this tire should get about 6,000+ rear

Beans - You want good mileage, try the Bridgestone BT010 tires. Dual Compound, so they corner good and last awhile on the freeways. I've put over 7000 miles on a set!
