Interesting to see the difference. The top scale looks like a more or less flat line from 8000 on.I had it in the back of my mind to see how far the engine slows on every shift to see if it stayed in the power band.Awesome power in any case, ought to be a hoot to ride.

hey Pete,
YOUR 1430 should be even MORE awesome to ride!!

Sorry fellas, I have been out of town.

Yep, JC did his magic on the bike! I think he wanted to put a 150 hp shot of nos
on the bike, but the owner is not a very good rider and an idiot as well, so we'll
stick with a 70 shot for now.

I'm still waiting on Carlquist. The journal was fine after polishing and thats the last I heard. It still needs to be nitrated and I want them to size the bearing inserts as I'm not that good at it.

JC, I remember the TI Force pipes having a horrible dip like that as well, but worse. I saw it on 3 diferent zx12rs with that pipe back in late 2000. Could never get rid of it totally.
They were at the time (maybe diff now?) 4-2-1 but the 2 was very very long. They all ended up taking them off and replacing them with varrious different pipes.
The early Akrapovic 4-1 pipes had a sag also.

Karl, I'll be out to Pasa'get down'dena this weekend for continuing education.
Let me know if you'll be working on your bike or going to the track Sat. and
would not mind some company.

Gary

I might have to pick up some new U4 while I am in Houston and see what the
bike will post.
I shot out to Bike night on it and saw JC's Victory Crew. It runs freaking strong!!!!!!!!
Now if I can only keep from destroying it again. Hope that flywheel holds together!

Gary,
I'm going to the track this afternoon, but wifey & I are pulling it up to Dallas on Sat afternoon. Staying with Buddy on Sat nite then we're going to Yellow Belly on Sun afternoon.

Do pick up some U4at Andy's and slap it on his dyno for a couple pulls. It would be way cool to get a good comparison between his FactPro and JC's DJ.

Too damn bad I'll be outa town when you are here

I would advance that timing 5 degrees at 6,000 to try to get that dip out of there..

Mr Cheese, the SAE Numbers are more impressive than then STD!!

A 4-2-1 will remove that Spot and you need to add more fuel in that area even though the Chart may already be rich! It is pushing fuel out the intake and so less is in the exhaust to read and so it really is lean!

You may also need the 4-2-1 for Dr. Gary to get up to Speed also!

U Da MAN!!

It realy looks worse on paper than it feels while riding on the street.

I believe there was a similar dip in my stock motor, when
it had a Muzzy exhaust, but it may have been further accentuated
by the combination of Muzzy cams, short stacks, and TBs

Might have to drop a little race gas in and see what it'll do.
I was going to pick some up from Andy in Houston, but it
seems VP has left a sour taste in his mouth.
