Goodbye old friend.

I just sold my 12 and it does make me sad. It was just sitting for more than a year, so when the guy asked me if I wanted to sell it I had to say yes. Goodbye old friend. Hopefully he will enjoy it.

damn ted, that's gotta hurt! I might be doing the same if my shoulder doesn't improve. I'm getting numb like tingling down my arm from leaning on it. I got some helibars from another member here (good deal thanks) and
we'll see if that does the trick. but I'm seriously considering either a naked bike (ZRX or FZ1) or a sport tourer (ZZR or ?) maybe stevewfl will let me try his 14 . there ugly beast but I'll get a black one so I can't see it at night

I got a call yesterday on mine from a guy in Wisconsin. He said he's take it and all I could say was "Uh, I, Uh,...... I guess I changed my mind- I don't want to sell it."

Vinny, H2, it really does not feel good. But I really wasn't riding it. The roads I ride on are twisty and the 10 works really well on that. If I need a sport tourer I will just get a 14 I guess. Man it really didn't hit me until I signed over the title.
Also the thing was flawless. He hasn't picked it up yet , I will go out and say goodbye.

I hate to say it but I get some numbness but I get it in a car with my hand on top of the wheel and I get it on the 10. It seems to be the angle of my right elbow.
Shit I hate getting old.

I understand the feeling of getting rid of an old friend. It was really really strange watching "MY" ZX11 leave in the back of the guys truck when I sold it.

The new 00 12R cured that shortly though...

My ZX11 also but I kept in touch and still did the work on it and now it is in Hawaii so it is gone also!

Tha last thing I remember about my ZX11 was when I was pushing them around in my back yard, I mover the 12 and then went to move the 11 with the same amount of force and it did not move at all! That is when I really realized how much weight difference there was between the 2 bikes!

I had a 92 and I still have the stock seat and exhaust for the 11 & 12 Heavy bits ofd Metal! The best exhaust I could find for the ZX11 was not the Hindle but the Motad Nexus (Made int he UK By the people that make most of the TRiumph and Rolls Royce Exhaust

Wrecked the '86, sold the '89, sold the '98 ZX11 (black w/5500 mi.) 6 mos after the 12. That 11 was fun to ride, especially with the D&D pipe, but it did seem heavier. I guess having 2 good ones is a luxury, but havin "1" is a necessity...

I too had a 91 ZX11, and again I was sad to see it go.

Truth be told, I will never....ever ..... ever give up my 12. No matter what. I'd sell my car, truck, guitar, amp, literally everything but I'd have a cardboard box and the 12....

....seriously.

I am still missing it. There were some sections of road today that would have fit the 12 really well. And to be honest it didn't free up that much room in the garage. Oh well, no use crying over spilled milk.
