I was running mid 9.4's with it down in Atlanta, but my gearing was off, only running through in 4 and weak. my 1/8th mile times that day were 6.2's and since then ive changed my gearing and havent run 1/4mile since but I ran a 6.05 at my last 1/8th mile event. then had an oiling problem and lost a bearing, so with seat time and tuning, I see 9.0's in the very near future, it is a Muzzy 1361 kit and I weigh 225 no gear. check the web site to keep updated.

Mike,
How did you know you had a oiling problem.
Did the light come on or did it knock, etc?
I'm still sitting on the performance fence.

hey hotrodd,
don't sit on that ole perf fence, go for the 1361!!

I just took my 1361 crank out after 143 WOT, button shift passes and it is flawless. The 1361 has low end which will put a grin on yr face and a massive amount of fragrant tire smoke in yr nose ("ahhh... the delicate bouquet of a vintage 2002 Dunlop; slightly astringent, pert and lively, while still smooth yet authoritative).

GO FOR IT!!!

Man Im telling you the Power is incredable!!! with 17/51 gearing on a 6" arm, it is a tire smoking, wheelie monster!! and the only way I knew that I had an oiling problem was when I took the beast apart, I spun the rod bearing and I knew something was not quite right/ weird vibration, and sluggish, so I just shut it off and tore the engine apart the very next day, now just to give a little background, this was my very first! motorcycle engine that I have even built, so when we checked all of the tolerances they were within spec, but they were at the very tight end of the spec. which learning the hard way was the wrong end of the tolerance, so me putting in the standard bearings(tight .0015-.0013)gave me a very small oiling surface along with running 5w-30w oil(thin)created my own oiling problem so the fact is this was one hell of an expensive learning curve! but now I know and I seriously doubt that I will every forget this lesson, not only financialy, but not having my bike to race for 6 weeks! sucks big time! Now back to the 1361, the torque is great, you just wack the throttle and the power is almost endless, and the #'s that I see people running are Big! I ran a 6.05@121.6mph in the 1/8th and that is with NO tuning yet and 225/no gear! you know you have something going on when other racers are running up to the fence just to see you make a pass. you will not regret the power avaliable to you with the 1361 that is for sure! oh and another plus you have 4 of us that have custom dragracing maps already for it! good luck and hope this helps with you decision
