The Dragon claims it's second fatality of the year

From Tail of the Dragon Website:

BULLETIN: The Dragon saw its second fatality for the year at about 11:00 am on Saturday October 27, 2001. Jeremy Williams, 37, of Cincinnati OH riding a 2001 Ninja 250 took a corner wide and low sided into a large RV. Rider was killed instantly. The accident occurred at about mile 4.5 near the "Horns of the Dragon".

Also, a pretty bad crash as stated on the website also:

SUNDAY OCTOBER 28, 2001: One of the slowest days of the year in spite of warmer temperatures. High was in the low 60's, a great improvement over Saturday. A serious accident in the early afternoon when Kent Davis a local F4i rider found himself 40 feet down a steep bank with his bike another 30 feet below him. The accident occurred near the picnic table at mile 4 on the Dragon map. Witnesses said the south bound rider came into the corner, low sided, and hit the railing sending him and bike flying over the bank. Many passers-by, including an ER doctor and a medic, stopped to help. Injuries included a broken neck, a broken back, broken leg, possible head injuries, and numerous internal injuries. Kent remained unconscious after surgery. Please keep Kent in your prayers.
PEACE
