Heat Blankets

Well summer is here and I've gotten several requests for more heat blankets so I made another batch.

For the new board members who might not know what they are and do... they shield the airbox/frame and throttle bodies from the radiant heat of the engine. This helps keep the intake air charge from picking up the heat.
The difference is better throttle response at low speeds in city type riding. The engine looses that stumble when everythings real hot.

Anyway, we made quite a few this time because I dont expect to have time to make them again for a while. But I'll make shure everyone gets one that wants one.

If you want one email me at JGilnack@earthlink.net with your address and I'll send one out. They are $20 and I'll cover the shipping. Sorry for the up in price but I need to buy my buddy a few beers for helping me this time.

I will send out the blankets as I get requests. This is on the honor system, it worked out pretty good the last few times.

Thanks JG

They all went out today..

Ok, all the blankets went out today.
With the exception of one. His will go out monday because he was a bad boy and didnt put his name with his address in the email. But I wont rat him out

I took a picture of one to post on here.
I guess I should have done that years ago.

This picture shows a general idea of how it should be installed.
Maybe someone has a picture of one installed they can post.

If there is any questions on the install myself or maybe other board members can help answer any questions. There are many members on these boards using one.

Thanks.

Ted, no problem. Gee I thought you had one from early on, no? In any case just email me your name and address and I'll get one out to ya this week.

Freek, I thought of sending it to "Freek" but like you said the border folks may not like it. ??

Freek, dont bother sending me the $20. I'll donate it to the cost of running the board. I know its not much but its somthing.

Thanks.

Thanks freek for the kind words. I try and help.

Eh... it gets here when it gets here. I'm not worried.

So far this honor system has worked very well. Just A very few percent "forgot" to send out a check.
Oh well, thats the way it is.
I never said anything about it because I didnt confirm that I had recieved the payments from everyone that I sent them to. And I didnt want people to think I didnt get thier payment.
I'm not worried about it.
This is a great group of folks on here.
Glad to be of help.

Installed one yesterday Jim. Works like magic..lol. The new owner was a tad confused as to its purpose. I did a before and after experiment for him. He knew exactly what it was for then!
