Rattle and Hmm?
hi all i'm new to this board and have a quick question about my 12r. she's currently got 48000km and was running fine up until a few weeks ago then a little rattle developed coming from the right side of the engine possibly crankcase?. can't notice a lack of power at all but what ran smooth and relatively quiet has turned into a rattle box at idle . i've tried fresh oil and different fuel grade and that hasn't done anything. could this be engine rebuild time or a simpler cheaper repair. thanks for any help.

check cam chain tension....

hey thanks, you think the cam chain could be the culprit eh? well, i'll check that out then. this bike could quite possibly be the most enjoyable ride i've ever had and i would like to keep it running tip top,but when these noises pop up they sure can drive ya nuts. thanks for your help psycho.if the camchain is fine is it posible valve lash or something.
