Forgot to add I had switched to a different oil, that's where the problems started, went back to the proven oil I was using before, all gravy since.

Hope this is all that's wrong, good luck.

I'll give it a try! im currently on a fresh rebuild (engine) and the bikes got a whole 300 miles on the new setup. I was thinking of getting the shift shafts from schnitz racing and having my mechanic check the shift forks etc.

What happened Nox? I'm assuming the factory pro didn't deliver as claimed. Actually, im having a heck of a time when shifting up into third gear under full power. I have. new shift forks in the bike and when i'm on the juice it doesn't like to shift easily in any of the upper gears, especially when going into 5th gear in the qtr mile.

It is made of shit metal, not near as hard as the stock piece......, design is good in theory, but materials are crap........

Aluminum crank would make hp, if you could get it to stay in one piece, know what i mean.........

The studs on the side of the star rounded off..........

Good info NOX!

Mrsantafe: did you replace the shift drum?!? If any of the channels are nicked/rounded you will have issues untill replaced. It can be done with engine in chassis.
