What frame sliders are you using?
I am in need of some sliders, but like most, not real interested in drilling thru my body work. I see LSL (is that correct), makes a really nice one with interchangeable pucks, but unfortunatly they don't make one for the 12. Any info and or pics would be greatly appreciated.

I will say that the "GSG Moto" No cut, frame mount sliders are the best protection you can get on the ZX12R.

scroll down MAIN page to "K-ZXR" then scroll down to frame sliders........

A frame slider can only as good as the mount it is connected to.
The slider replaces the fairing bolt and screws into fairing bracket PN 11051 shown here.
This little steel bracket is adequate for holding the faring in place, but not stout enough to take an impact load.
When my bike fell over in my garage, the slider smashed this bracket up against the head. It was pushed in about a half inch and bent back about 20 degrees. The slider was bent out of the way without absorbing much energy - basically making it useless.
This bending caused nasty cracks in my fairing from the sliders mounting point.

I drilled the holes at the crack ends to prevent future crack propagation.
If you really want the sliders to work you could take the faring brackets to your local welding shop. They could probably add some material to strengthen them or make a new ones out of heavier gauge steel.
I decided that the sliders had done me more harm than good so I wont ever put them back on the bike.
