** Personal ban list ** ** This topic is active in several forums **
Despite being 2 days behind in work (u know, the stuff that puts food on my table, unlike this place) I spent half to day putting together an "ignore" tool.
You will now see a new ignore icon below every post.
The icon looks like this:
Click on this icon to ignore the author. That means you will not see their posts, not get their IMs, their PMs, not see the threads they start. as far as you are concerned, they do not exist.
Don't like someone? Just ignore them. no whining, no bitching, no stress, just peace from those you don't want to put up with.
Obviously this feature went up in a hurry and i'm working with POS software so it may not be perfect. if you find any bugs please let me know in this thread.
The feature is only available to registered members who are logged in and is NOT reverseable. When you click on the ignore icon you will be prompted with a nag warning you about this important fact, so be aware that if you click on it, we can't undo it.

It is kinda scary that the "ignore" button is between the "PM" and "edit" buttons. A little sloppy mouse/click action could result in something very unintentional. Instead of pm'ing someone, you end up ignoring them for the rest of the year. As much and often I have to edit my own stuff, I hope I don't end up ignoring myself. On the other hand, maybe I should.

Red has a good point, move the ignore button to the far right hand side of the tool bar ( i guess that is what that area is called)
