Muzzy EMS Ok, the silver 1347 got ridden on the street for one day, and then it's back apart, this time for the Muzzy EMS.
As you can see, there's a few connections to make:
Throttle Position Sensor
Launch Control Switch (2 step)
Gear Shift Cut Switch
Gear Shift Light
Manifold Air Pressure Sensor
Tachometer Output to stock harness
Auxilliary Output
Fuel Pump Relay
ECU Main Relay
Ignition Coils
Fuel Injectors
Crankshaft Sensor
Speed Sensor
Lamba Sensor Power
Lamba Sensor Signal
Intake Air Temperature
Coolant Temperature
EMS Power from Accessory 10A fuse
Battery Ground
Chassis Ground
There's a few other options, like:
Full turbo pressure control variable by RPM with overboost protection.
Nitrous two stage control via aux outputs, which can be switched by rpm/manifold pressure/water temp.

That lookks a lot like the ball of wire under my work bench!??

Addison,
Yes, it is P&P. That is a photo of the wire harness we supply. It has all the plugs installed. You unplug your stock engine harness and plug these in. If you are inquiring as if the MMS plugs into the stock harness plug, the answer is no. You must use the new harness, but there is no "wiring" required. Just plugging.

After discussion with Doug and Kurt, it appears that the stock stick coils with not work with the EMS. This will require the purchase of a pair of Dyna dual output coils or similar units.

Gizmos and gadgets! I sure hope it works better than an HRC wiring loom and ignition box for the RC51!!

One real nice thing about this EMS package from Muzzys is that it's a proven package, with hundreds of them being used in many different applications all over the world. Maybe it doesn't have quite the exposure as the Motec box, but it matches it feature for feature, at a fifth of the price. Got the coils and fuel injectors wired this morning, now I just need to go get some spark plug wires and I'm in business! Doug has been fantastic about helping out with information on this project, and I'm hoping that I can help with developing the documentation for the MMS.

It's alive! (almost)
Figured out what was wrong on the crankshaft trigger signal, got that working. The MMS management software has some really nice tools, like injector and coil testing. You disconnect your fuel pump relay, then select it and it tests injectors and coils in 1000 rpm increments up to redline. Firt time I had ever heard my injectors 'singing' along merrily.

So is this a TOTAL replacement for the stock ECU? I'm a TRUE novice at injection electronics. The PC-IIIr was really my first "re-mapping" experience. I'd love to ditch the ECU for a performance model! I bet we can find a few more ponies in the mapping somewhere.... buahahaha! KEep the posts coming SWFT. I'm addicted!

I think I replied in another post with regards to this question. The Muzzy EMS takes over all engine operations. That means that fuel injection mapping and ignition timing are handled by the EMS. That means I could unplug the stock ECU and the bike would run just fine.
