I think it largely depends on what kind of racing you intend. 1/8th, 1/4 mile? Land speed racing?

70 shot on stockers, but some people may have had a stock valve let go from the juice.
Wet is not an easy install on a 12 and can be rather expensive. You may just like a dry 40 for the 1/4, as it is easier to install and has worked well for many people.

Woppi,
If it was me, I don't think I would go over 60 HP without internal modifications. I think the jets you have are .024 NOS and .028 fuel. Thats an 80 HP shot, so the maximum final percentage should be 70-75%. I believe the books say to retard 2 degrees for each 50HP, so try 3 degrees for a start. It will be a little safer and you probably won't notice the difference in 1 degree. You may want to consider useing higher octane fuel, also.
I had a sidewinder (Muzzy) and it seemed to make more power without the baffle. I didn't prove it on a dyno tho. If you like noise and the perception of power, take it out.

Hi woppi,
We run a wet system and have not had any problems with standard valves. We do run titanium retainers and the muzzys heavier valve springs though.
Yes it's tight alright.

We run a progressive controller so the PC map is rich up hi when the full NOS comes in. We keep a close eye on the plugs and pistons and haven't seen any ing to make us worry......Yet.

I'm just running a 50 shot on my UK bike, given it some hard work and it's been fine on standard ignition (I was running advanced before I added the nos).
It is a bitch to install though - very hard to fit nice short lines unless you mount the whole lot inside the airbox, and I wasn't willing to do that.
Runs a treat, and to be honest for a road bike a 50bhp boost is plenty when there's already 177 at the rear wheel to start with.
