WILSON UPDATE 6/16
I had e-mailed his daughter a few days and asked how our friend Wilson was doing. This is her reply.
Dear Sherman,
I am sorry I haven't answered sooner, today is the first day I have read my email for nearly a week. I spend about 12 hours a day at the hospital, and with nearly an hours drive each way!
Dad has had a really rough week. He took a turn for the worse on Wednesday. He flat lined 3 times and was gone for 2 1/2 minutes. They brought him back and he was back on the ventilator.
The Doctor's determined it was not a heart attack, they think it might be sepsis. An acute form of an infection that looks like a heart attack. They have taken alot of blood samples and it takes three days for the cultures to grow.
In the meantime he does have pneumonia, but they are giving him seven different antibiotics for all types of infections including pneumonia. At 6:30 he was taken back off the ventilator, and was talking and doing fine. He has a huge rash they are trying to treat also.
My Dad is proving to be quite a mysterious puzzle! I know he keeps trying to sneak out to go to biker heaven, but everyone's prayers are working to keep him here.
Thank you so very much for your email. I will tell him you inquired. He loves getting the attention!!!!!
Kindest Regards, and Be safe, and wear your kevalar suits!!!
Wendy
Unfortunatly, I still don't know the status of the remaining part of his upper leg (in an earlier e-mail, she said that might have to remove some more). I also do not know if he can accept any phone calls. If anyone knows anything about either item, please e-mail me at adcraft@cei.net.
It looks like our friend is not out of the woods quite yet. Please remember him in your thoughts and prayers on this Father's Day.
BTW - Does anybody know how Mike is doing? I haven't seen anything from Roger, Cindy or Steve in almost two weeks.

Elk, you need to tell him to cut that shit out. Only thing required is for him to get well. On a more serious note, if I were the family I would want to know how he was getting a secondary infection like that in a hospital? I hate to be a big negative type here, but unless he had a whole bunch of dirty wounds this far out he shouldn't be experiencing sepsis.

Hey elk thanks for the update. Wendy sounds like one helluva trooper herself. I hope Wilson has a chance to see and hear just what his friends and family feel for him.
