Yeah, had fun. Will probably be putting up some more (another liter or 2 and the 14 is making a comeback!) Be careful doing this stuff....theck tire pressure, chain, oil, etc before you do it each time!

Good luck w/the cam, make sure you set it up right! Kawasaki makes good cams for these bikes as it is.

It didn't look too bad....looked like I was riding it in snow...but there was a big fat white stripe on the radiator from the salt kicking up from the front wheel...needed to "chip" it off carefully...all around the rear shock and under the tail section....truth be told it got everywhere! The problem was after I ran I didn't get a chance to clean it off! I should have "pretreated" the bike and cleaned it but it was in pieces, I drove to and from solo and unfortunately the 4 day drive back home included lots of rain. Salt + Rain = RUST! Oh well, I washed it off as best I could but the salt keeps coming back, as I was told it would. Next time I'll pretreat it with some of the marine/salt water stuff before and after.
Here are some pics:

I have more close-up pics but this is all I have in photobucket for now. Many of my bolts around the bellypan and side bolts are quite rusty, including the battery panel bolts. My chain alone took over an hour to de-rust....
Lesson learned: A little preperation would have gone a long way in prevention!

Partly because at those speeds I have noticed that after a run the plastics aren't lined up perfectly, particularly the center "V" piece in front of the headers/behind the front tire. Partly because that is an aftermarket front upper and, while a pretty good fit, still could use a touch of tape just to give it a better seal.
