Note that I've had a stuck drainback valve on more than one occasion with K&N's, so I don't use them any more.

I was going through the bike before a race weekend - the bike had been sitting a month or so between races. When I started it up, the oil pressure light stayed on. I verified the fact that the oil pressure sensor and wiring were working and that there was no oil pressure. The only choice I had to influence oil delivery external to the engine (read: without tearing into the motor) was to replace the oil filter. I installed a new Suzuki factory filter and all was fine. When I dissected the K&N, I found that the drainback valve had become bonded to the case and would not release. Needless to say, I don't use K&N any more.

The ZX12 and ZX14 use the same OEM oil Filter...

OEM part # 16097-0004...They use Denso filters now and they are much better than the previous OEM issued...
