shiphteey, I have just seen your run at maxton..I could'nt imagen the bad road conditions over there..!!!! I know its not a public road or something, but watching carefully it lookes like that track is in sever bad condition...!!! and how long is the straigth there??? (sorry for my bad writing....) doing my best.

Maxton isn't the smoothest place. It actually was a landing strip from WW2 I believe. It was abandoned for a while and the volunteers took over it, fixing it up here and there. The course is 1 mile long and 9/10 mile after that to brake and turn back on the service road. It is a little bumpy but the faster you go the better it is!
There is a slight bend early on (about 6 degrees) and after to go thru the trap at the end of the mile there is a slight bend again (which does make some people nervous because the surface isn't as good) + you have to turn a little. But believe me, its worth it. It has gotten better and better in the last 2 years that I have been. Ask some of the guys who have been there since it first began! YIKES!

So if someone physically assaults another racer at an ECTA sanctioned event, is that not assault. If threats were made prior, is that not premeditated assault? I am curious, a lil stay in county really isnt a big deal, it does suck, but not hard time. But what about being banned from an ECTA track events. I think they may ban some guys who end up fighting at an event. It really is a family oriented racing venue. Id hate to be banned for life, Maxton is the most convenient LSR event for me and anyone on the east coast. Not being able to go there would suck. Not to mention That they dont do Tear down after a record is made, if they had done a tear down, no accusations of who did what would be able to really be questioned now would they. Maybe an idea, start an tear down process after records are set at Maxton. No more problems like this in the future.

Bergie ran naked 172 I think but spit a shim so his runs were finished.
I ran 201.9, 202 on GPS with the fairings....had another 2 mph in it but I had to get off the nitrous button because I was 100 RPM from the limiter and based on my estimated distance vs acceleration at that moment....ended up trapping 200 rpms from the limiter because I ran out of space/time to get back on the button....

As Ali mentioned my shit broke just at about the 1/3rd mile mark and limped thru the traps at 172, dropped it at Lee's on my way home, looks like something in the valvetrain let go and possible cylinder damage, waiting to hear back from him today.
