I fixed my 5 k buzz by lining the inside of where the windshield touches the upper with some felt then reinstalling the screen. Mine buzzed at 5 k a lot and i finally started looking to the cause. Mines a b model and the way the tabs slide in at the bottom isnt very tight to the upper. With a puig screen you have to add two screws at the bottom which changed the buzz a lil so then I lined the upper with something to dampen it a bit and retightened and havent had the vibration since. As an aside, when removing the screen you may see an area of the plastics or screen that looks like it has been rubbed, start there and see if it helps.

It will buzz, but adjusting your throttle bodies to good sync and adjust ingTPS and power commander (if equipped) very carefully and the buzz will be smaller. Or just ride faster

What does the wind screen have to do with the motor vibrating! what does TPS stand for.I think I'm going to have to ride faster. In Arizona we ride very fast anyway , It's all we have there are very few twisteys here.

TPS is Throttle Position Sensor. It's that little black thing on Your throttle bodies left side that has wire going to it. Check the service manual or browse trough web to find detailed istructions.
