Anyone tried this?
Hey guys anyone tried this. I have a Muzzy Clutch setup and had some chatter so I took it a part and lightly sanded the plates and fibers cleaned and put back together ONLY this time I put it back without the flatspring and left the larger fiber out that fits over the spring. I got one of my other new fibers from the stock clutch and put it in instead. So, I have all fibers which are the same size and NO flat springs at all. Bike runs the same, goes into gear a little smoother BUT, has a lot less noise in the basket area. What do you guys think????

I would have sworn that little guy was there to make shifting a little softer, but it looks like you found different!
I'da been too chicken shit to try it. Hope it continues to work out for ya.......

I looked at what the purpose of this spring was for before I tried it and the only thing I found in the service manual was that it is called a judder spring and is used to quite the clutch unit.

I like my Muzzy setup a lot but found that it needed to have some serious adjustment time spent on it (to be expected with performance toys though  ) Don't forget you can get a lot of shift feel out of the shift rod adjustment...
