Torque specs on..
counter shaft ,, front sprocket about to be changed,, i was reading that you want to use an impact,, and have the bike OUT of gear,, what is a good procedure in reassembly??

you may not want to use a impact for two reasons 1 you may not get it off when you want to change it out i still have one on 2 you may cause damage cant say for sure but it is a reasonable fear , in any case play it safe

Does the nut come off counter clockwise?? or clockwise,, and what is its torque spec??

regular cc nut, but its sometimes problematic to get off.
I do use an impact to get it off, but a tq wrench to put back on.
Without an impact wrench, i have taken it off but it took a 1/2 drive breaker bar AND a 3' lenfth of pipe for a cheater.
I secure the rear wheel with a 2x4 over the swingarms (to get it off) between the spokes.
Do put it in neutral, and push back the locking "washer"
I don't have the tq in front of me, but prolly around 90#
