Another new member from the UK

Hot on the heals of Seth, i thought I'd better introduce myself. I've lurked on here in the past and think I joined and may have posted a few years back.

So let's start with a few pics... this was the NinjaMissile - it's in temporary retirement at the moment having gone down the road on both sides, but its on a comeback trail.

Standard bore, Nitrous kit, nitrous pistons, electric over air shifter, flowed and ported head, cut sump, shortened forks, etc etc. It never really performed, i was trying to Gas it on flyers, but it was more of a drag bike with WOT activitated gas.

Here's the next toy - another nitrous bike, but this one a 1287

Unfortunately it had a slight hiccup and then burst into flames on a sighting run, here's just one pic...

But it too is making a comeback, these arrived a few weeks ago, so the Phoenix is rising from the flames

No doubt I'll be asking a few questions during the build, but I promise not as many as Seth!

Cheers

Matt

Thanks guys. It's good to be here, lots of interesting info.

We're about to start building the 1394 engine so it'll be a steep learning curve, I don't think we've got one over here yet, but reading on here you guys have loads of experience, and Seth isn't shy of asking questions!

I promise these are the last few pics, but when the 1287 gave up it was pretty spectacular, about 180ish it just dropped power, locked up and then burst into flames, we counted about nine holes in the cases, including thye starter motor just coming off... here what happens to the rods... I went for carillos this time..

and my favourite, once the engine was out, you could see right through it! The white crap is the fire extinguisher residue...

Here you go then, seeing as you asked so nicely, but this is it...really...

The engine once dropped..

What can only be described as a mess...

and finally, not one, not two, not three, but four rods... okay so one's not in the pic but I'm sure you can guess what it looked like!

So now that's over, let's look forward to the 1394 nitrous build...

osti33 has a 1394cc APE kit Matt, race only, hasn't dyno'd it yet, but says his 1375cc was pulling 218rwhp...!
That'll open some eyes at the 1st JD this year!

Should be good for a 215mph run with ramair....add a sniff of laffing gas..say 60hp and a 230mph run could be on the cards.

I am no expert by any means but if I can help you guys at all please let me know.

We have several members here with various size big motors that are very knowledgeable. Y2KZX12R, Entropy, MadMike, Doug Meyer and others I am leaving out I'm sure.

Cheers ostl33

Like I said there's a huge amount of info on the board, but any specifics and i'll be sure to shout.

Now I've just got to get this thing built then the fun can start, n/a at first and pretty street, but the progressive dry kit, shifter and lock-up from the NinjaMissile are just sitting there gathering dust...

It's fire extinguisher crap... the fire wasn't too bad, I managed to grind to a halt at the timing trap and the guys there once they'd stopped staring remembered they had extinguishers...
