I'm using 48mm TB's.
Don't know the cost cause MadMike gave em to me.
I've done back-to-back-to-back tests of 46's vs 48's and my NA 1427 picked up 4-5 hp.

Is MadMike the same bloke as Superbike Mike?
Are your T/B's tapered or straight through?

No, different people. MadMike much nicer!
I think Bear did some that were straight through and OE's are tappered. I do not think it's worth the money, but if you got some cash laying around to burn and your looking to build a monster motor then why not.
I have the OE tappered ones, but never did any testing. I have a little bit bigger motor than stock, but nothing like Entropy's Monster!
I live in Texas so most of us usually think bigger is better even if reason and logic dictate other wise!

Hehe...the straight through jobs are a nightmare to setup if at all so I been told.
What did you pay for the OE ones?
I am looking at building a bigger engine possibly the APE big'n, so was thinking the increased cc's would benefit from the 2mm oversize T/B's.
I know what your saying about the Texas thing,,,lmfao,,theres a bloke who comes to the UK pretty regular who hails from Texas, to our 200mph.net & straightliners.co.uk meets. Rumour has it he might well bring his bike over for some racing.
Only problem is he is a Busa lover..lol....apart from that he is a good guy, makes you laugh with the constant everything in England is so small.....In the states we got burgers bigger than your houses and your roads are smaller than my driveway....you gotta love him....lol

Not Often Is Dr. Gary Wrong but it is Bear that Continued the Sizing of the Stock including the Opening which the was Reason he had to make Larger Outside Diameter Velocity Stacks for his Bore Job. At one time I think he did some for Skip. I think SUperbike Mike and a few others were doing the straight through Bore Jobs as someone said cause problems.

Mr. Hill you are too nice, I am wrong more often than not and always learning.
When I sent them in I think they were $550.00, kind of pricey. They said one week turn around which I thought was amazing, but it ended up being 5 weeks. I communicated with them weekly as the expected dates changed, but I figure most of the motorcycle industry is like that and I am a nobody.
Oreint Express:
2mm overbore and tappered throttle bodies, they use stainless steel butterflys (no brass)
