ZX12 A1 injectors

Anybody know the spec of the first model 12R injectors. I'd like to know the flow rate and whether the later ones flow more and will they fit an A1 model. I've got a Muzzy pump but want to increase the fuelling to up the gas a bit from 50 hp at the moment. I was thinking 100 hp shot. Ta guys, Keith

Doug,
I was searching fer yr cell # that afternoon when we couldn't get the USB to make neg numbers work; luckily DaveO had the right suggestion.

Thx for the tip on the 370's, they do work! A bit of a PITA to install, but [borat voice} not so much...

_____FactPro
rpm__"truehp"_duty cycle (was OEM inj, now RC370's)
3000___29___DC= was 15%, now 10%
4000___54___DC= was 23%, now 16%
5000___74___DC= was 23%, now 19%
6000___91___DC= was 40%, now 31%
7000__122___DC= was 50-51%, now 39%
8000__152___DC= was 61-65%, now 50-53%
9000__170___DC= was 71-73%, now60-61%
10000_175___DC= was 79-81%, now 72-73%
10500_176___DC= was 83-85%, now 75-76%
11000_175___DC= was 88-90%, now 78-80%

I used to have a dip in hp @ 10.5 & 11, then back up @11.5

went to RC370 injectors (thx to D Meyer & Lorcan for the advice) and the gremlin seems to be gone

BIG, BIG thanks to Dave Owen:
When i started testing the 370's it was running WAY rich and changing fuel numbers in my brand new PC3-USB didn't help at all.
Dave suggested some tests which ended in simply putting my PC3R back in. Voila.

Weird: the USB worked fine with positive numbers, but didn't work with negative numbers.

Who'd a thunk it? Not me!
luckily DaveO and his cell phone were there for the noob-builder !!!

current fuel map #'s w/3R and RC370's
RPM___100%
3000___-30
4000___-20
5000___-15
6000___-13
7000___-10
8000___-5
9000___5
10000__11
10500__12
11000__14

Now, after 5 days on the dyno, flogging the shit outa it, I'm gonna split the cases and take a peak

BTW: when i pulled it down, it was pretty evident i was leaking between cyl, but i'll fix that this weekend!

Someone mentioned the later model 12's (B6) use a bigger injector - about 390's I think - any truth in that?

its frustrating that stock zx12r peak out at 10,000
piped and pc3rs peak out at 10,800
pumped 1375 or 1427 zx12rs peak out at 10,000 and table top
with the right cam this thing could rip to past 12,000 still climbing, the valve sizes are big enough

True, why do you think that the Muzzy 1427 Pro Stock ZX-12, went easily past that? But there is more to it, of course, than just the cam. That bike left the line with an 8" tire, on the bar at maybe 6-7500 and a slipper. Not a lot of low end there.

Doug, what did they shift that prostock motor at?
What was the stroke and rod length?
How many rings did it have?
Gas ported pistons?

WOW! I'm psyched!! I haven't done a lot of work to the ol 2000 12 in years. Right now she's got:

1. Muzzy full exhaust
2. PC-IIIr
3. K&N Filters
4. NO Kleen Air

Now - maybe I can do teh following:
1. Put in new cam (can't remember exhaust to intake or intake to exhaust but I'll look in here)
2. Extend rev limit
3. New Injectors (larger)
4. REMAP the sucka

Wonder what numbers I'll pull? she's good for 175.5 HP now...

Sorry. No details. Maybe Rob will share if he chooses. No magic bullets, just all the stuff we know works. My point is (and some obviously fully understands this) is that it's always a COMBINATION, a PACKAGE that will get you where you want to go.

Sorry Ryan, I tried.

Doug, basically I really wanted to know what piston speeds were achieved while still having good ring seal. I think you figured that one out from the questions. I really didnt expect answers... but I was hoping.

Does RM get on here much any more? Havent seen him post in a while.

I'd really like to know the seat timing on the intake valve on that prostock bike.

LOL! No problem Jim.

I saw Rob and talked to him breifly in Indy this past weekend. He was pretty busy so I didn't bug him a whole lot. We didn't talk much about the prostock 12. We did talk a little about the prostock 14. No details however.

The basic rotating/reciprocating assembly used on that bike was listed on the Muzzys web site as a kit for sale.
