? for Mr, Muzzy -CBR 600 fuel shut off

I was rideing my 1996 f3 600 at portland raceway on monday and I crashed in turn 3 (cold tires). It has 1/13 comprestion pistons. The thing is, is that I have bypassed my fuel shut off relay because it doesn't work. While the bike was on it's side the fule pump was still running untill I could run over and hit the kill switch. When I tryed to start it again it went- spin-wump! spin-wump! like it had some hydraulic resistance. I lit it sit for a while and tryed to start it again. After a lot of cranking it finally started but was not happy. Have I fucked up the motor? If so what should I check first.

Sounds like you need to invest in one of those $20 cut-off switches or screw a lil eye-hook screw into your kill switch and then tie it to your leathers with a piece of string. If it happens again, I think you need to pull the plugs first and turn it over to blow all the excess fuel out of the cylinders. Then you can install the plugs and crank it. Saves fouled out plugs, too.

First change the oil. Then you need to check the compression. If you "hydrauliced" the engine you may have damaged a piston or the rings and this will show up in a compression or leak rate test.

Why buy when you can make one?

I used the bottom part of an old spark plug and welded it to a fitting. It doesn't leak and work just fine.
