Ill give you a word of advice on clutches for Kawis....STAY STOCK!! Just get the 2.0 steels from Kawi. Barnetts suck and cause more problems than any benefit they might give!

I've heard Looooots of bad things about the Barnett's for the 12R as well, vs the Stock parts. No personal experience yet though.
I'd say you're thinking is right, in that a 2.4 or 2.6 would not warp as easily, but I'd be hesitant to use them for 2 reasons.
A. Those tiny holes in the stock steels 'probably' help to collect up the friction plate dust which is a good thing. Without them, and knowing our SUCKY oil supply, I would wonder if the friction plate particles would just sit on the flat steel plates. Doesn't sound good to me.
B. If you *did* have good oil supply, or even did the 'tip the bike to the right' trick to soak them in oil, ....wouldn't those same little holes, or peck marks *hold* the oil for you, whereas on the flat plates that wouldn't happen...
Just pure speculation from the hip........
I think you should try it and then let us know how it goes!
